Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has once again topped the Forbes highest paid artists list for 2017. With his earnings from Ciroc vodka, DeLeon tequila, Aquahydrate water, Bad Boy Reunion tour, and around $70 million from his Sean John clothing line he rolls in to top the list with a cool $130 million pre tax, blowing his competition out of the water in a period of 12 months.
The second spot is taken by the hottest and most streamed artist from the past 2 years, Drake. With the release of ‘More Life’, his ‘Boy Meets World’ tour and deals with Apple, Sprite and Nike saw him earning around $94 Million the year leading up to June.
Jay-Z comes in to take the third spot with earnings of around $42 million. The only female artist on the list is Nikki Minaj and the list also includes some relatively new artists such as Chance The Rapper and Future.
The total amount earned from the top 20 list is a whopping $619.5 million which with the ever-growing dominance of the Hip-Hop industry is up significantly from last years $448.5 million
